As with anything I post this is not a repititious vomit of what everyone knows but more of an opinion piece of how this decision/topic affects me and how I view America.
While in my breakroom here at work, I sat down, payed in my phone and just listed to whatever was on the tv. I never take the time to to fully focus on what is on th news, but as someone who almost needed this service, I decided to listen. CNN.com reports :
In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court saved the controversial health care law that will define President Barack Obama’s administration for generations to come…..It staved off a major political showdown and a mad scramble in states that would have needed to act to prevent millions from losing health care coverage.
Lately, I’ve been entirely disappointed in America’s justice system. With all of the senseless killings of African Americans and the seemingly never ending debate of WHO can get married to WHO…it was nice to see a “tide change” amongst the debauchery. When OB Care was rolling out, I thought “YES!” Now, I can get the help I need when I need it without having to be employed or I can have the option fo gaining insurance through my employer or on my own. My own ideas and decision were solely based on price. As with anything else, Americans love a great deal. Regardless, I thought that this was a great deal for American and Obama as well.
As hard as this President has fought to improve the living standards of Americans, this will gow down as one of his greatest achievements. (IN MY OPINION, Dont’ bash me…)
Five years ago, after nearly a century of talk, decades of trying, a year of bipartisan debate, we finally declared that in America, health care is not a privilege for a few but a right for all,” Obama said from the White House. “The Affordable Care Act” is here to stay
I’m so proud of this move…I don’t know why, and I can’t even begin to tell you what came over me as I heard this announcement. I often believe in QUALITY OF LIFE and the progressoin of a civilization, tis must have touched me in that way. It’s amazing to me that the Supreme Court could see what impact this could have on our future as a society.
Now, I’m not saying ” OH YES, THEYRE GREAT, THEYRE THE BESTEST!” Even though, this was a step in tehr ight direction, I definitely think they (Supreme Court) are making risky choices as far as getting into the political sides of marriage in states. That’s another topic for another post though.
IN any case….YAY AMERICA!!!!
