American Horror Story…Season 5!!

Sooooooo…….[EXCITEMENT BUILDS] AMERICAN HORROR STORY has been renewed for another season!!!! Now, I know this news broke the day that season 4 premiered, and even though I’m a lil late, I know I’m not the only person who is ECSTATIC about this.

Apparently, ratings means MORE episodes!! FX has ordered a 13 episode, which would be the 5th installment in the AHS anthology series. A few days after the season 4 premiers, American Horror Story : Freak Show became the most-watched broadcast in cable network’s 20 year history. AMAZING!! Season 5 will begin in OCTOBER 2015!

FX today ordered a 13-episode, fifth installment of executive producer Ryan Murphy’s anthology miniseries, just days after the premiere of American Horror Story: Freak Show became the most-watched broadcast in the cable network’s two-decade history. The next season will begin in October 2015. Upwards of 10 million people viewed the premier over a 3 day time shifted evening. AHS : Freak Show has also broken a record for young adult ratings.

I don’t have any idea how the track or map these ratings, but I can attest that many younger adults love the show as well.

“The American Horror Story anthology has had the highest growth trajectory of any show in FX history, not to mention an unprecedented track record of success in awards recognition,” FX CEO John Landgraf said in a statement accompanying the announcement. “With Ryan Murphy and his partners, Brad Falchuk, Dante Di Loretoand Tim Minear at the helm, the show’s success is not surprising. AHS continues to deliver amazing stories, a brilliant troupe of actors led by Jessica Lange, and a visual style unlike any other on TV.”

I was super super excited, ONCE AGAIN, to hear that FX also announced a spin off anthology miniseries, American Crime Story, that will start with The People v. O.J. Simpson. Production on the 10-episode season will start in 2015. I see SO many great things coming from Ryan Murphy in the future!
